Treasuries are selling off, with longer duration debt on its way to key yield levels.
The 10-year yield is at 4.444%, up from 4.412% on Friday. That looks like a small move but in the Treasury market things move much slowly, meaning a move of even few percentage points holds power.
A move to 4.5% –a key threshold–on the 10-year can attract buyers. Yields move in opposite direction of bond prices–in other words, as bond prices fall yields keep rising.
