Taylor Swift is making sure this August is one fans will remember all too well.
The Grammy winner made her first appearance on boyfriend Travis Kelce‘s New Heights podcast with Jason Kelce on Aug. 13—and shared major details on her personal life—including giving an up-close look at her alchemy with Travis—and how her Eras Tour inspired her new 12-track album The Life of a Showgirl, out Oct. 3.
“I owe a lot to this podcast,” Taylor said. “This podcast got me a boyfriend, ever since Travis decided to use it as his personal dating app.”
The “Fortnight” singer reflected on her love story with Travis—and how she found his New Heights episode following his attempt at meeting her during her July 2023 Kanas City Eras Tour stop.
“It was such a wild romantic gesture to just be like, ‘I wanna date you,” Taylor reflected, joking that, at first, she felt like “this dude didn’t get a meet and greet and he’s making it everyone’s problem.”
And she appreciated that he made his intentions upfront and public for the world to hear, noting she’s “not an online person” who reads her DMs.
“This kind of felt more like I was in an ’80s John Hughes movie,” she shared, “and he was standing outside my window with a boom box like, ‘I wanna date you, do you wanna go on a date with me? I made you a friendship bracelet.’”
