Taylor Momsen was hospitalized on Tuesday after she was bitten by a spider while her band, The Pretty Reckless, was on tour with AC/DC.
Momsen took to Instagram to share a photo of her bitten leg. It appeared the bite was on her upper ankle, which resulted in a blotchy rash running up to her knee. She captioned the post, “Hospital today, show tomorrow, poisonous spiders are NO BUENO but the show must go on, see you tomorrow Mexico City.”
In a follow-up post, Momsen shared a photo of herself in a hospital bed wearing a mask and holding an icepack up to her forehead. She wrote in the caption, “Or I just spend the night in the hospital…thank you to the amazing doctors who, well, they know.”
Reps for Momsen did not immediately respond to Variety‘s request for comment.
Momsen’s spider bite came two years after she was bitten by a bat and had to receive a rabies shot. Conincidentally, she was also on tour with AC/DC at the time.
“So…ROCK AND ROLL MOMENT…in Sevilla Wednesday during ‘Witches Burn’ of all songs… a BAT flew onto me and clung to my leg…in the moment I was performing and had no idea until the incredible crowd kept screaming and pointing…he was cute, but yes he bit me…so rabies shots for the next two weeks,” Momsen wrote on Instagram at the time. “Thanks to all the staff at the hospital who dubbed me #batgirl after seeing it on the local news that morning…more footage to come…that’s one for the books!!!!”
The Pretty Reckless is scheduled to tour until early December. The rock group is set to play in Nuremberg, Germany, on June 5 after its stop in Mexico City.
