Zootopia 2 was one of the biggest box-office hits of 2025, and now Disney has announced the film’s streaming and Blu-ray release dates. Zootopia 2 will land on digital platforms like Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home on Jan. 27, followed by the physical media release on March 3. A Disney+ date has not been announced yet.
Zootopia 2‘s record-setting box office run has made it the ninth highest-grossing movie of all time, according to Box Office Mojo, as well as the highest-grossing animated MPA movie of all time. It was also nominated for Best Animated Feature at this year’s Academy Awards. Zootopia 2 was one of the major drivers of Disney’s box office success this year; the studio also released films like Avatar: Fire and Ash, Lilo & Stitch, and Predator: Badlands.
Zootopia 2 follows Ginnifer Goodwin as a rabbit cop, Judy Hopps, and Jason Bateman as a fox, Nick Wilde, as they seek to uncover a reptilian mystery. Zootopia 2 was directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard and written by Jared Bush.
The home release will include a wide variety of extras, including making-of featurettes and deleted scenes. You can check out an exclusive bonus feature below, which highlights the work of Disney’s animators as they bring the characters from concept art to the big screen.
For physical media enthusiasts, Zootopia 2 will be released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD, as well as a limited-edition Steelbook, on March 3.
