One woman’s yearslong health battle has ended.
A 48-year-old woman known publicly only as “B,” who claimed to be the secret daughter of Freddie Mercury in a book published in 2025, has died after being diagnosed with cancer years earlier. Her widower Thomas confirmed her passing to the Daily Mail on Jan. 15.
Thomas shared his wife passed “peacefully after a long battle with chordoma, a rare spinal cancer, leaving two sons aged nine and seven.”
“B is now with her beloved and loving father in the world of thoughts,” he continued. “Her ashes were scattered to the wind over the Alps.”
B came forward with her claim in the 2025 book Love, Freddie, written by Lesley Ann Jones. In the book, B—also known as “BiBi,” the alleged nickname the Queen frontman had for her, per the Daily Mail—claimed Freddie fathered her during a 1976 affair. She also claimed to have DNA evidence to prove her parentage, though it hasn’t been shared at this time.
