Whitney Leavitt Exits The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives

Whitney Leavitt is closing the curtain on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

The 32-year-old announced that she’s leaving the Hulu series after four seasons during her final performance as Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway. Her rep also confirmed to Deadline that she’s exiting the show.

Whitney made the reveal by reading a headline from a newspaper in character during the Sunday night show, as seen in footage published by TMZ

“What is that?” she said, pointing to an open paper. “‘Whitney’…let me see. ‘Whitney Leavitt Announces She’s Leaving The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.‘”

As the audience cheered following the announcement, the Dancing With the Stars alum turned to the crowd and opened her arms in acknowledgement of the moment.

Whitney’s news comes after she’d already hinted that she was considering moving away from Mormon Wives to focus on other pursuits.

“I’m figuring it out in real time,” she told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview published March 16. “We’re figuring it out together, but it feels like that’s the trajectory of where it’s going.”
