Sabrina Carpenter once again proves why she’s one of the biggest pop stars, performing during Sunday’s Grammy Awards.
In true Carpenter form, her 2026 Grammy performance featured an elaborate backdrop, landing the singer at an airport. The singer took the stage down a baggage claim carrousel, decked out in an all-white pilot-inspired ensemble, to sing her hit “Manchild.” The track hails from Carpenter’s latest album, Man’s Best Friend.
Carpenter was clearly having a blast on stage, as she seemingly always does. Throughout the performance, Carpenter’s huffs of laughter could be heard in between her impressive belts. “Hey Grammys, how you doing? It’s your captain Sabrina speaking,” she told the crowd through a loud speaker. She then got the crowd on their feet to dance along to the song’s iconic bridge.
The 26-year-old singer went into the 2026 Grammy Award ceremony with six nominations in the record of the year, song of the year, album of the year, best pop vocal album, best pop solo performance and best music video categories. The singer also earned six nominations at the 2025 ceremony.
The 26-year-old Grammy Award winner released her seventh album, Man’s Best Friend, last year. The 12-track pop album is a natural follow-up to Carpenter’s equally steamy and at-sometimes-raunchy 2024 album, Short N’ Sweet, which earned the singer her first Grammy Award. The album topped Billboard’s 200 Albums Chart and was widely considered a Grammy contender heading into the nominations Friday.
“Manchild,” the album’s pre-release single, landed atop the Billboard Hot 100, earning the singer her second No. 1 hit. The song itself is an ear-worm as Carpenter sings about stupid, no good men, paired with Carpenter’s signature funny, cheeky lyrics like “why so sexy if so dumb.” Carpenter co-wrote the song with her Short N’ Sweet collaborators Amy Allen, who nabbed the songwriter of the year award earlier in the night, and Jack Antonoff.
