“Survivor: In the Hands of the Fans” has opened one last fan vote.
During the penultimate episode of Season 50 on Wednesday, CBS opened a poll for fans to choose their favorite player. The winner will be announced during the live finale event in Los Angeles on May 20 and will receive a prize of $100,000 from pop star and “Survivor” superfan Sia.
The Sia Fan Favorite prize marks the revival of a “Survivor” tradition. The series previously had an official Fan Favorite award that went away after Season 26; after that, Sia took it upon herself to reward her favorite players for several seasons. Since 2016, she has given more than $1,000,000 of her own money to “Survivor” players. Sia stopped giving out the prize after Season 45, but has revived it for the landmark 50th season — joining Billie Eilish, Zac Brown, Jimmy Fallon and MrBeast as a celebrity who contributed to the design of Season 50 in some way.
Voting for the Sia Fan Favorite prize is open now and will close at 12 p.m. PT on May 20, the day of the Season 50 finale.
