Amazon is asking “The Summer I Turned Pretty” viewers to respect the cast and crew’s privacy at this time, as some fans have been visiting the sets of the upcoming movie and sharing filming locations on social media amid production beginning last month in North Carolina.
“We love the excitement, but sharing locations and visiting set disrupts filming and creates real safety concerns for our cast and crew,” Amazon Prime Video’s official ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty” X account said Tuesday. “We’re working hard to create a protected bubble to make the best movie possible. Please help us protect the magic of Cousins until it’s ready to be shared.”
The message was accompanied by a short video depicting three people writing “PRIVACY PLEASE” in the sand on a beach.
Representatives for Amazon’s Prime Video did not immediately respond to request for further comment Tuesday.
