Megacap tech stocks powered the major indexes higher as Wall Street continued to set records with a big interest-rate decision looming later this week.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 50 points, or 0.1%. The S&P 500 gained 0.5%. The Nasdaq Composite rallied 0.9%.
Both the S&P and Nasdaq set fresh intraday records and finished the day with closing highs. It’s the Nasdaq’s 26th of the year and the S&P’s 25th.
