Santander to Buy Back €1.7 Billion Shares After Record Quarter

Banco Santander SA posted a record second-quarter profit and announced a new buyback as Spain’s largest bank makes good on a pledge to repurchase at least €10 billion ($11.6 billion) worth of stock over two years.
