Ripple CEO loves one thing about the XRP community

XRP, the native token of XRP Ledger, developed by the fintech firm Ripple, has been down nearly 10% since Sept 19. While the token briefly surged on Sept. 23, after Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse announced his wedding. However, the token soon tanked on Sept 24 after briefly reaching $2.99.

While XRP is currently down nearly 2%, at $2.82, Coinglass data reveals that around $8.28 million worth of XRP has been long over the last day.

Resistance is located near the $3.20–$3.30 zone, and support is found around the $2.60 price point. However, momentum has cooled since the July rally, with the MACD now hovering near a bearish crossover. If XRP maintains a position above $2.60, a period of consolidation may result in a retest of $3.00.

While XRP’s price action is relatively down, Garlinghouse has praised the XRP community. Retweeting or resharing a video of the XRP Seoul 2025 event that took place on Sep 21, the CEO wrote:

“One thing you know about the XRP community anywhere in the world – they show up in force!”

  • On-Demand Liquidity (ODL), which is used by financial institutions to instantly bridge fiat currencies, thereby reducing their dependence on pre-funded nostro accounts.

  • Powers minting and trading of NFTs on the XRP Ledger.

  • Can be staked, lent, or utilized as collateral on decentralized platforms to facilitate borrowing and yield generation.

  • XRP is also used as a transactional asset designed to facilitate financial settlement, scalability, and speed.

On Sep 23. Ripple partnered with Securitize to develop a smart contract that allows investors holding BlackRock’s tokenized money (BUIDL) or VanEck’s tokenized fund (VBILL) to exchange their fund tokens for RLUSD (Ripple USD) at any time. While not directly related to XRP, they both fall under the same ecosystem of Ripple.
