Kenya’s Sawe hailed at State House after historic marathon | Athletics

Kenyan runner Sabastian Sawe received a hero’s welcome from President William Ruto after becoming the first athlete to run an official marathon in under two hours, clocking 1:59:30 in London. Ruto praised him for “expanding the horizon of human potential” as Sawe dedicated the record to Kenya.
