Kelly Ripa Reveals Why a Neighbor “Lodged a Complaint” Over Her Halloween Candy
Kelly Ripa‘s Halloween didn’t end on such a sweet note.
The daytime talk show recounted how she handed out candy to trick-or-treaters this spooky season, revealing that she actually received a “complaint” from a New York neighbor over how she handled the task.
“We ran out of candy twice, and had to reorder on the fly,” she shared the Nov. 4 episode of Live With Kelly & Mark. “Interestingly enough, yesterday a woman came up to me and sort of lodged a complaint that we ran out early. An adult woman!”
According to the 55-year-old, the woman approached her asking, “‘What happened to your candy this year?'”
“She said, ‘Well, you ran out,'” Ripa recalled. “I go, ‘What time did you come?’ She said, ‘Around 8:30 at night.'”
But for Kelly, that seems to be a reasonable time to run out of treats.
“I said, ‘No, it’s over then,'” she continued. “‘You’ll have to come earlier next year.'”
