Goodbye June, which will be released in select theaters Dec. 12 and available to stream on Netflix Dec 24, takes place in the run-up to Christmas when, according to Netflix, “an unexpected turn in their mother’s heal thrusts four adult siblings and their exasperating father into chaos.” Kate’s star-studded list of costars includes Toni Collette, Johnny Flynn, Andrea Riseborough and Helen Mirren.

Kate’s first time in the director’s chair will surely thrust her back in the spotlight, but the British actress—who shares Mia, 24, with Jim Threapleton, Joe, 21, with Sam Mendes and Bear, 11, with husband Edward Abel Smith—tends to keep a low profile between projects.
