Jay Lycurgo Signs With CAA

Jay Lycurgo, the rising British talent who turned heads for his performance in Netflix drama “Steve,” has signed with CAA.

The Londoner  — who was recently listed among Variety‘s Actors to Watch — stars alongside Cillian Murphy in the Toronto-bowing film, playing a troubled young man at a reform school for boys with behavioural difficulties. Earlier this month the performance saw Lycurgo land a British Independent Film Award nomination for best supporting actor.

In its review, Variety said “Steve” was 2025’s “best Netflix movie” and a “profoundly moving and superbly acted diamond in the rough,” adding that Lycurgo was an “alternately sensitive and intimidating young actor in his breakout role.”

Continuing his work with Murphy, Lycurgo recently filmed the “Peaky Blinders” spin-off film “The Immortal Man” as part of a cast that also includes Rebecca Ferguson, Stephen Graham and Barry Keoghan. He also recently wrapped Clio Barnard’s next feature “I See Buildings Fall Like Lightning” opposite Anthony Boyle, Daryl McCormack, Joe Cole and Lola Petticrew.

Previously roles for Lycurgo include the lead in Joe Barton’s Netflix series “Half Bad: The Bastard Son and the Devil Himself” and one of the leads in Ben Wheatley’s Channel 4 series “Generation Z.”

Additional credits include “Last Swim,” which premiere at the Berlinale, “The Radleys” opposite Damian Lewis and “Eternal Return” opposite Naomi Scott, which also premiered at TIFF in September.

Lycurgo continues to be represented in Insight Management & Production in the UK, Artists First, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman Wertheimer Mandelbaum Morris Bernstein Trattner & Klein.
