
India and China will resume direct flights after more than five years as two of the world’s biggest economies seek to rebuild political ties amid rising trade uncertainties. The plan was announced by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he met Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in Tianjin.
