Mindy Cohn is facing another health journey.
The Facts of Life actress shared an update with fans nine years after she went into remission following a five-year cancer battle.
“Have been off social media for a while cuz I had to go kick cancer’s ass,” Mindy wrote on Instagram April 19. “I did so with the extraordinary help of Providence Saint John’s hospital staff.”
The 59-year-old went on to thank her nurses, oncology surgeon and her “cherished” family for being her “advocates” who have been “always on the ready to help me when it’s ‘my turn.'”
Mindy finished her update on a hopeful note for the future as she recovers from treatment.
“Recouping for another couple of weeks,” she wrote, “and then ready for my next adventure. Onwards! F**K Cancer!”
The actress—who accompanied her news with a photo of herself in a hospital bed flashing a soft smile and giving a thumbs up to the camera—received a lot of love and support in the comment section of her post.
