UTA-represented independent financier and producer Doval Bacall is launching the first Your Script Produced! Film Festival, set to run in Los Angeles Nov. 14 and 15.
The festival will unspool parallel to the American Film Market, which runs Nov. 10-15 at the Fairmount Century Plaza Hotel in Century City.
The Your Script Produced! Film Festival, powered by UTA, seeks to spotlight underrepresented independent filmmakers from around the globe and open up channels into the entertainment industry and worldwide financiers and producers.
While the festival will unspool finished features, a big component of the event includes a robust industry presence with dozens of mentoring tables, financing and production panels and discussions as well as opportunities with sales agents, buyers and other industryites.
Most notably, the festival is engineering a highly structured “deal-setting environment,” according to Bacall. To that end, he has set his sights on check-writers and financiers from Wall Street, Singapore, Zurich and the Middle East to attend the festival, bridging the gap between independent creators and a global capital mix of ultra-high-net worth individuals.
While the festival’s full schedule is still in progress, its standout features will reach far beyond conventional film showings. Attendees can expect a robust industry environment featuring dozens of mentoring tables, high-level financing and production focused panel discussions, global media partners, sales agents, potential distributors, streamers, and top-tier buyers.
