Oops, Britney Spears is getting candid again.
The “Stronger” singer recently opened up about her short marriage to Sam Asghari, which she says was result of being away from sons Sean Federline, 20, and Jayden Federline, 18, whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
“The hardest years of my life were my two sons gone for those 3 years,” Britney wrote in a now-deleted Instagram caption Aug. 23. “I was cut off from calling or texting and I remember in shock my secret to survival was denial and a lot of tears.”
The 43-year-old—who shared a completely nude photo of herself alongside the confession—added that it felt “weird me and Sam were married.”
“It almost felt like a fake distraction,” she wrote, “to help me deal with it.”
Britney and Sam were married in June 2022 before Sam filed for divorce in August of 2023. Their divorce was finalized in May 2024, with Britney being declared legally single in December.
