Blackstone is increasing its investment in artificial intelligence firm Anthropic PBC, elevating its stake to roughly $1 billion at the startup’s current valuation, according to people familiar with the matter. Abu Dhabi’s MGX is also reportedly in talks to provide hundreds of millions of dollars to Anthropic as part of a funding round that’s set to raise more than $20 billion overall.
