“All of a sudden, my kids think I’m cool,” she quipped to E!. “It’s been a blast, honestly, just for me to get up there and perform these songs that I haven’t played in so long. And then to understand, for me, what it feels like to play them again feels the same for my fans has been just incredible.”
Another moment of nostalgia? Her reunion with sister Jessica Simpson at the 2025 VMAs, where both are set to present. It’s even brought up the possibility of another music collab for the pair.
“I definitely think that could be in the works, for sure,” Ashlee said. “That’s something I think we’d love to do. It’s been fun, both of us in these places, revisiting it and supporting each other and loving each other. And be like little cheerleaders.”
