Ally Simpson has been promoted to president of television at Kinetic Content, the company announced Wednesday. In her new role, Simpson will oversee all unscripted series produced in North America.
Kinetic Content is the production company behind some of the biggest reality TV hits in recent years, including “Love Is Blind,” “The Ultimatum,” “The Ultimatum: Queer Love” and “Perfect Match” for Netflix, “Married At First Sight” for Peacock and “Claim to Fame” for ABC, among others.
Simpon’s promotion comes after more than a decade with the company, during which she has worked closely with Chris Coelen, founder and CEO of Kinetic Content, to help redefine the modern unscripted relationship genre. In both field and post, Simpson has overseen every season of “Love Is Blind” and prior to that, oversaw “Married at First Sight.” Simpson holds a J.D. from the Pepperdine School of Law.
“Kinetic Content sets the bar when it comes to unscripted shows,” says Simpson in a statement. “I’m thrilled to continue to support our CEO, Chris Coelen and all our teams who work so hard to share complex, rich and inspiring human stories. There’s so much still to come!”
“Ally Simpson is an incredibly talented leader and storyteller,” adds Coelen. “Widely admired both inside Kinetic and in the community, it’s been a great privilege working with her for the past decade, and I’m even more excited about the future with her in this new role.”
Founded in 2010, the company was acquired by The North Road Company in 2022. Across the pond, Kinetic will continue to be overseen by Kinetic UK Managing Director Laura Gibson.
