Ainsley Rossitto Named Head of Podcasts at Beehiiv

Creator-media portal beehiiv said it hired Ainsely Rossitto as head of podcasts, a sign that the company, best known, perhaps, for backing newsletters, is eager to tackle other parts of a new wave of influencer-focused platforms.

Rossitto had been vice president of digital strategy and operations for podcasts across Paramount and previously held roles at NPR.

“We are really putting a lot of firepower behind podcasts and it’s a big, big focus for 2026 and beyond. We think it’s a huge opportunity,” says Tyler Denk, co-founder and CEO of beehiiv, during a recent interview. “We feel like we are on the ground floor in terms of being able to capture and provide opportunities to podcasters.”

Beehiiv aims to become a more serious player in the business of providing podcast infrastructure and incorporating audio into the platform it operates. Among the independent journalists who use Beehiiv are Oliver Darcy, who leads the Status media-industry newsletter, and Joanne Stern, the former Wall Street Journal technology columnist who recently launched the “New Things” tech-news outlet.

The goal for beehiiv is to put as many creator-media options under a single umbrella for its users, who may crave a single hub for tools, rather than utilizing a wider array of partners to keep their business running.

When creators have to tap multiple service providers, says Rossitto, “it’s going to be hard to won that audience, and know where it is and monetize it and scale it.”

By the end of 2026, beehiiv plans to support video, ad tech, analytics, and monetization tools, all tied to podcasting.

Executives at Beehiiv believe the hire will lend the company more momentum after a first quarter that saw it strike partnerships with brands and creators including Hearst, The Washington Post, Caper, LA Material, Hope King, Kyle Poyar and Tom Sietsema.
