Pete Davidson wants to be the king of socks.

The comedian, 31, is switching things up from his usual role of telling jokes on stage to pitching the sock brand DoubleSoul, which he serves as creative director of, to the judges on Shark Tank

“Hi, I’m Pete,” he says in People‘s first look at the upcoming season 17 premiere alongside the brand’s founder Ben Rosenbaum, “and we are seeking 500 grand for four percent for our company, DoubleSoul.”

Sharks Robert Herjavec, Lori Greiner and Kevin O’Leary, as well as guest sharks Kendra Scott and Rashaun Williams, were in shock at the SNL alum’s appearance, but the King of Staten Island star shared that his passion for the brand was far more than just a stunt.

“I got sent DoubleSoul [socks] a couple years ago, and I had to meet the team, and I wanted to be involved immediately,” Pete told the sharks. “I get sent a lot of crap, and I usually give it to my cousins.”
