“I’ve replaced, throughout the years, two very important words,” she told E! News in an October interview. “I used to tell them I have to go to work, and now I tell them I want to go to work.”
For the Avatar alum, the simple switch makes a big difference.
“I just feel like it teaches them that work is a part of life,” she continued, “and that if you’re doing things that make you happy, all you have to do is just share it with the people that you love around you.”
But while work is an essential piece of life, Zoe admitted she couldn’t wait to get back to her boys at the end of this past awards season.
“I would want them to finish this school year with their Mama by their side because they are so resilient and they’ve been, you know, backing me up, along with my husband this entire campaign,” Zoe told E! News in March. “But I miss my children like I miss air, like I miss water.”
