The new track follows his song bundle, “Streets of London,” which he dropped earlier this month
Zach Bryan teams up with country newcomer Gabriella Rose for a stripped-back, emotional duet on his new track “Madeline,” released Friday.
The song features Bryan’s gravelly vocals over guitar strums before Rose’s sweet voice enters with a response verse. The pair trade lines as lovers recently separated by distance and heartache, longing for each other despite their issues.
“And there’s a picture of us holding up a pitcher of our favorite beer/I’m tryna slow down this year, they can’t hold it like I used to,” sings Bryan, before Rose continues: “I ain’t never felt as lonely as I do tonight in this nice hotel/Twelve hundred miles from that shit motel you kissed me softly in/Well, I heard you been on the road, West Coast, just song singing/Are you coming home again?”
“Madeline” is the latest song from Bryan, who’s steadily released singles this year. Last month, she shared a track bundle titled “Streets of London,” featuring three songs, including “River Washed Hair” and “A Song for You.” He also released “Dear Miss,” “Memphis; The Blues” with J.R. Carroll, and “Blue Jean Baby” earlier this year.
For her part, the new Bryan collab follows songs “Necklace,” “Fallin’ for You,” and “Who’s Gonna Love Me,” which dropped earlier this year. She also released her EP Wait Til I Get My Money Up last November.
“So honored to be part of this beautiful song with one of the most legendary and talented songwriters ever,” wrote Rose on Instagram, sharing a link to the new song.
