You have eleven Grammys, a catalog of over 3,000 songs, and are one of the most-streamed artists of all time. So, what’s next? If you’re Dolly Parton, the answer is simple: you team up with a Kardashian. Back in April, the iconic singer, songwriter, and indisputable national treasure partnered with Khloé Kardashian’s apparel brand, Good American, to launch a dazzling denim line that sold out in hours. But the capsule collection was just restocked, and now you have the opportunity to buy it online.

Inspired by her 1973 classic “Jolene,” the collection — named Jolean’s Jeans — is a rhinestone-studded tribute to all things unmistakably Dolly. The line features gingham prints, embellished tees, jackets, and bottoms, as well as corseted bodysuits, all designed to be, in true Dolly fashion, “beautiful beyond compare.”

Priced between $79 and $229, each piece is crafted with high-quality materials, available in an inclusive range of sizes, and soft enough to feel like “summer rain” — yes, it’s that comfortable.

Rolling Stone caught up with Parton to chat about everything from the inspiration behind the collection to what’s next for her music. You can read the full interview below, and browse a curated selection of our favorite pieces from the collab right here. And if you’re craving even more Dolly (because honestly, who isn’t?), grab tickets to her upcoming mini-residency in Las Vegas by visiting this link.

Good American

Was there anything that surprised you about Good American?
I think the collaboration is wonderful, Good American is great, and Khloé [Kardashian] is great. But what I think is most important is that they have a really good product. It’s cute that we got the name “Jolean’s Jeans,” that’s all good and clever, but if you don’t have a really good product, then that won’t serve you well. It seems we have everything. The quality is excellent, and I think it’s something for everybody. We have pieces with rhinestones on the jeans, different blouses and jackets, and other things that I think people will love.

What was the design process like?
The design process unfolded naturally. We pulled things from my closet as far as the look, but for the jeans themselves, Khloé [Kardashian] is really smart with what she’s doing. All of the Kardashians seem to know what they’re doing when it comes to products and all, and I’m pretty good at pitching in and doing my part as well. But I think more than anything, it’s really about trusting the right people. It’s a team effort.

How would you style these selects?
That’s the great thing about a great pair of jeans. Whether they have stones or not, you can dress them up any way you want to. You can pair a beautiful sweater, your big jewelry — your gaudy ones — or your high-heeled shoes. Denim is always so accepted, so you can dress anything around it.

Were there any fun, behind-the-scenes moments?
It’s just always fun when you’re working with other people, especially people you haven’t really met before. One of the things that has just been so cute to me is that Khloé [Kardashian] had a Dolly-themed birthday party. I do have other products out on the line — you know, my cakes, cookies, and pies — and she had all that. So we had a lot of fun. But it’s always good to get a bunch of girls together.

Why the name, ‘Jolean’s Jeans?’
A favorite song of mine throughout the years is probably “Jolene” because it’s the most recorded song that I’ve ever written, even though I’ve written thousands of songs. It’s been the one that has been the most famous. In my cosmetics line, I even have a lipstick called “Jolene.” Now we have the “Jolean’s Jeans.” She just comes in handy for everything. I enjoy singing that song too. And every little garage band in the world, they all play “Jolene,” and every band that comes out, they have some version of “Jolene,” which I’m thrilled to death about. And even Beyoncé — she has a version. Country music is so big now, and the whole country theme of clothes is great, and that kind of really played into the timing of this.

Besides this new launch, what’s next for you?
I want people to enjoy my music above all else. And they have through the years, and I’m grateful for that, and I want them to continue to do it. I’ve written my life stories as a musical, and it’s going to come to Broadway next year. It’s going to premiere here in Nashville in late July, so I’ll be doing a lot of songs from that; in addition to having an album with the cast, I’ll probably be recording a lot of the original songs that I’ve written, and re-recording some of the others.

Later on, I want to make a great Gospel album. A big, inspirational production of some great uplifting music for this crazy world these days. But I’ll be writing, singing, and creating as long as I’m alive. You know, as long as I can, as long as I’m healthy enough to do it. Whatever my age is, I’m going to be doing just that.

Are there any current artists that you want to collaborate with?
I’m open to working with anyone who’s great. Out of nowhere, Sabrina Carpenter called me, and I wasn’t thinking about that. I became a really big star in my own family with the younger generation when she [Sabrina Carpenter] wanted to do something with me. So I’m open to whatever; those things just seem to come to me, but I’m sure there will be lots of people through the years that I’ll hopefully have an opportunity to work with.

Who inspires you?
I really am inspired by all the new people who are coming along. I don’t pick any particular ones out, but when I see some young, new talent, it’s like, WOW. That’s why I love watching American Idol and all of those shows on TV, like The Voice. To see all of the talent in this world and thinking, ‘oh my goodness,’ that person is going to be a star, that one’s going to be a star, and you kind of wait to see if they’re going to have a record out. But I just think it’s wonderful, and I’m just moved and inspired by any creative person that’s getting out there and doing something with it.

Would you ever be a judge on a reality singing competition?
Well, I’ve been asked and offered tons of money to do that over the years, but I don’t do well judging things. It would break my heart because I know that even if they’re not that good, they’re serious about it. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be there. I just feel for the judges — and some of them really give good advice, but still. I just have a hard time thinking that I could bring that hurt to somebody.
