Dead & Company are set to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Grateful Dead with a series of shows in San Francisco in August. Tickets have sold out for the three back-to-back Golden Gate shows, with the group livestreaming their Aug. 3 show to fans who can’t make it to California for the celebration.
Whether you’re heading to Shakedown Street yourself, or watching from home, Deadheads can now score some new officially licensed 60th anniversary merch on Amazon’s Grateful Dead storefront, just in time for Dead & Company’s August concerts.
Now discounted on Amazon, the Grateful Dead 60th anniversary collection includes a unisex Dead “60 Years So Far Roses” graphic tee, a charcoal gray “60 Years in Space” shirt, along with a forest green “60 Years So Far” hoodie featuring the Dead’s iconic Steal Your Face symbol on the front of the sweater.
In addition to the new anniversary memorabilia, Amazon has also released two exclusive new vinyl record collections in time for the shows, including Road Trips Vol. 3 No. 2: Municipal Auditorium, Austin, TX 11/15/71, and Road Trips Vol. 4 No. 3: Denver ’73 (Live). Road Trips Vol. 3 No. 2 features live tracks like “Truckin’,” “Casey Jones,” and “Bertha,” as part of a four-LP set. The Denver set, meantime, comes with seven LPs and is limited to 3,000 copies, including a track list featuring “Sugaree” and “Here Comes the Sunshine.”
“From Haight-Ashbury to the Excelsior District where Jerry Garcia grew up, the Grateful Dead’s influence is integral to our city’s cultural fabric,” said San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie of the forthcoming 60th anniversary celebrations, in a release. “Sixty years later, we proudly honor their legacy through concerts, community events, and celebrations, reflecting San Francisco’s enduring spirit of creativity, connection, and musical innovation.”
Shop the Grateful Dead 60th anniversary merch and new Amazon exclusive vinyl releases now on Amazon before they sell out, and pick up last-minute Dead & Company tickets at StubHub, Vivid Seats, SeatGeek, and TicketNetwork, or stream the band’s concert on Nugs starting on Aug. 3.
