Tamil actor-politician Vijay has cancelled his public meeting programmes for the next two weeks, and these may be held later, as per an announcement on X by his party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK)
“We are in pain and sorrow over the loss of our loved ones… We inform you with the approval of our party leader that new details regarding this public meeting will be announced later,” the party said.
This comes days after a stampede killed 41 people at Vijay’s rally in Karur, for which at least three of the party’s leaders are facing legal action, though Vijay denies any wrongdoing on TVK’s part.
