Wondering what Timothée Chalamet‘s night at the 2026 Actor Awards was like? The Hollywood Reporter has you covered.
On Sunday night, Chalamet was nominated for best actor at the awards show for his role as ping-pong hustler Marty Mauser in Marty Supreme. During this year’s awards season, the actor has won at the Golden Globes, Critics’ Choice Awards and the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
But he did not win at the Actor Awards.
Chalamet’s performance in Josh Safdie’s A24 film was one he trained extensively for.
Tied to the film’s Christmas release, Marty Supreme‘s table tennis consultant, Diego Schaaf, praised Chalamet’s commitment to training for the character. “He wasn’t interested in doing the minimum. Even when he got it right, he’d say, ‘Let’s do it again,’” Schaaf told THR. “This was very athletically demanding. He memorized every point, every movement, every shot. Timing was critical — some shots float, others travel fast — and he understood that immediately. He performed unbelievably well.”

Was Kylie Jenner There?
No, Chalamet’s girlfriend and businesswoman/reality TV star, Kylie Jenner, did not attend the awards show. This was a change for the actor, especially during this year’s awards season, since she’s been by his side at several awards shows, and he even gave her a shoutout in his acceptance speeches at the Critics Choice and Golden Globes.
Jokes & Shoutouts
In the opening segment, Abbott Elementary star Lisa Ann Walter joked that the Beautiful Boy actor joked about his look in Marty Supreme. “Is he 16? Is he 38? That’s how you know he’s a good actor,” she said.
The host, Kristen Bell, gave an homage to Marty Supreme, when her Nobody Wants This co-star Jackie Tohn starting playing ping-pong.
Best Actor Results…
Given that Chalamet has won in the best actor category at major award shows this year, it came as a surprise when he didn’t score the win Sunday night. The prize went to Michael B. Jordan for Sinners, which was a long-anticipated win for the actor among his fans.
During Jordan’s acceptance speech, he praised his fellow nominees, including Chalamet. “I’m so honored and privileged to be nominated in categories with people and actors and humans that I love, and I love their work and what they contribute to our craft and just rise to has been unbelievable,” Jordan said. “So, thank you for welcoming me in and making me feel seen.”
Up next, Chalamet is nominated at the Oscars on March 15 for best actor. He’s previously been nominated for an Academy Award for Call Me by Your Name in 2018 and A Complete Unknown in 2025.
The 32nd annual Actor Awards was held at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles. See the full list of 2026 Actor Awards winners here and all of the stars who walked the red carpet here.
