SZA shouted out Kai Cenat‘s Streamer University program during her acceptance speech at the 2025 American Music Awards on Monday (May 26).
SZA was awarded favorite female R&B artist at the AMAs, and immediately upon receiving the award, shouted out Kai Cenat’s program. Cenat had read off the nominations, and after giving SZA a quick hug, was asked to shout out his new school.
“Tell them about Streamer University,” SZA urged as a bashful Cenat — who was a Billboard cover star earlier in the year — walked off stage. “Congrats to Kai!”
The R&B star then proceeded to thank her parents, and even asked her mom to make sure there was no makeup in her teeth during her big moment. SZA had previously won favorite R&B song earlier in the night.
Cenat announced earlier in May that enrollment for his new university was now open. He had previously sent out a Harry Potter-style acceptance letter to streamers who had been accepted.
“I’m excited to extend to you a most heartfelt welcome to the very first class of Streamer University,” the Twitch superstar said in the video. “Here, you will find a school where chaos is encouraged and content is king … I look forward to seeing you all on campus for our first-ever semester.”
As for SZA, she’s deep into her Grand National Tour with Kendrick Lamar, which heads to Glendale, Ariz., on Tuesday (May 27).
The American Music Awards are produced by Dick Clark Productions, which is owned by Penske Media Eldridge, a joint venture between Eldridge Industries and Billboard parent company Penske Media.
