Shark Beauty is making a play for the red carpet with its newest launch, the Shark Glam, its newest hairstyler with a record five different attachments.

What sets this launch apart, though, isn’t just the number of attachments — it’s the tech. The Glam, priced at $449.99, combines air-powered styling with ceramic heat tools, offering two versions tailored to hair type: one for straight/wavy textures, another for curly/coily. Both come with Shark’s new Glossi™ ceramic brush, which smooths strands with up to 50% less frizz, and the Silki™ air straightener, which transforms damp hair into sleek blowouts without the need for extreme heat. The curly/coily version also includes a curl-defining diffuser and wide-tooth comb, tools traditionally underrepresented in the premium styling category.

“Shark Glam™ was designed to address an unmet need — especially with textured hair,” Shark Beauty CMO Kleona Mack, said in a statement. “Hair types 3 and 4 have long been underserved in the styling tool category and we knew that it was time to raise the bar. We challenged ourselves and our engineers to develop new innovations that would solve real styling frustrations – from heat damage and cluttered toolkits to the lack of effective options for textured hair – while still delivering high-performance results for hair types 1 and 2. It’s a true reflection of our ‘For All Hair Kind’ mission.”

In a move that sets it apart from Dyson’s much-hyped Airwrap, Shark is leaning hard into its inclusivity narrative. The brand has partnered with a newly formed Textured Hair Advisory Board and claims the Glam was developed with all hair types in mind, backed by real testing, not just marketing slogans. Meanwhile, its proprietary HeatSense™ Technology monitors temperature 1,000 times per second to keep airflow below 302°F, minimizing damage especially on textured or color-treated hair.

The timing is strategic. The FlexStyle, Shark’s earlier multi-styler, gained unexpected traction among celebrity stylists and TikTok influencers alike, showing up in the hands of hair pros working with stars like Sydney Sweeney, Anne Hathaway and Sabrina Carpenter. And while Shark has yet to announce a formal celebrity face for the Glam, its red carpet ambitions are clear.

The SharkGlam is now available on the Shark website, in addition to retailers such as Sephora.
