Rivian ended up delivering 10,365 vehicles to customers in the first quarter of 2026. That was around 700 units above Wall Street estimates (9,678 according to Visible Alpha).
Still, naturally, 10,365 vehicle sales in one quarter is very niche. For comparison, in a very down month for Tesla, one of its minor models that is now being discontinued, the Model X, reached nearly that many sales on its own. Tesla’s Model 3 got over 100,000 sales and Model Y got well over 200,000 sales in the same time period.
Of course, Rivian’s vehicles are still large luxury models, so the Model X and Model S are what they’d be compared to. When the Rivian R2 comes out, it’ll get more into the territory of the Model Y and we’ll see how many sales Rivian can pull in.
Aside from the 10,365 vehicle deliveries, Rivian produced 10,236 vehicles. So, as we can see, the company is keeping production and delivery numbers close.
“Production and delivery results for the quarter are in line with Rivian’s outlook. Rivian is also reaffirming its 2026 delivery range guidance of 62,000 to 67,000 vehicles,” the company added.
Let’s see what Rivian can do in Q2. It’ll be uplifting and exciting to see the company double or triple its quarterly sales.
