Authorities are piecing together the death of Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra.
After the fashion designer was found dead on a boat docked at Long Island’s Montauk Yacht Club, the Suffolk County Police Department shared new details about the case.
“An autopsy conducted on Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra, the woman found dead on a boat in Montauk on August 5, did not show evidence of violence,” the Aug. 6 update noted. “Her final cause of death is pending further examination.”
Officials shared in the press release that East Hampton Town Police arrived at the scene after a man, who found the 33-year-old’s body, called 911 around midnight. Although CPR was administered on the designer, per authorities, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Montauk Yacht Club, which sits on a sprawling 16-acre waterfront property, emphasized its commitment to working with officials. A spokesperson told CBS News, “We are saddened to learn of the tragic incident that took place. Our team is cooperating with law enforcement in their ongoing investigation and remains committed to the safety and well-being of our guests and staff.”
