Ayodhya Ram Mandir flag hoisting LIVE: The saffron flag hoisting ceremony at the Ram Temple here will take place around noon in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. Here’s everything you need to know:

• The flag to be hoisted is saffron in colour, 10 ft by 20 ft and triangular in shape, and bears the symbols of the ‘Surya’, ‘Om’ and the Kovidara tree.
• The flag hoisting ceremony will take place after 11.50 am in the presence of PM Modi, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Swami Govind Dev Giri.
• The flag will be hoisted on the temple spire during the auspicious period between 11.58 am and 1 pm, after which an address is expected. The prime minister will depart for the airport at 1.30 pm.
• According to the temple trust, Modi will first have darshan at the Sapt Rishi Mandir inside the Ram Janmabhoomi complex, followed by visits to the Sheshavatar Mandir, Annapurna Mandir, Ramlalla, and Ram Darbar.
• The temple complex features 87 carved stone episodes from the Valmiki Ramayana on the outer walls of the shrine and 79 bronze-cast depictions from Indian culture along the enclosure walls.

Ayodhya Ram Mandir flag hoisting LIVE: A Bhandara (community meal) has been arranged in Ayodhya today for the police personnel and security forces deployed for security management, as well as for the devotees. Notably, a total of six thousand nine hundred and seventy security personnel, including commandos from the ATS, NSG snipers, cyber experts and technical teams, have been deployed across the city ahead of the event that will be attended by PM Modi.

Calling the Ram temple the “Rashtra Mandir”, he described the flag as representing the invincibility of truth, the immortality of faith and the resurgence of culture.

“It is not merely a pennant, but a symbol of that inner strength which, in every era, tore through the darkness of adharma to keep the light of dharma intact,” he wrote.

Ayodhya Ram Mandir flag hoisting LIVE: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hoist the saffron flag atop the 191-foot-high shikhara of the Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi Temple during a special ceremony today. General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust Champat Rai said that UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh governor Anandiben Patel, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat will be present at the ceremony.

On Monday, PM Modi said that Lord Ram is the soul of India and he will be a witness to the formal hoisting of the saffron flag atop the sacred temple. For me, it is a matter of supreme fortune that tomorrow, on 25 November, at around 10 a.m., I will have the opportunity for darshan and worship in the divine and magnificent Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple complex in Ayodhya,” he said in a post on X.
