Palm Tree Crew has signed a deal with the city of West Palm Beach, Florida to host editions of its Palm Tree Festival in the city for the next four years.
The deal announcement follows record turnout at the festival’s most recent West Palm Beach edition, which happened Feb. 14 with headliners Sofi Tukker, Calvin Harris and Kygo. This latter artist is a co-founder of Palm Tree Crew and its multi-city Palm Tree Festival, which has hosted editions across the U.S. and around the world since launching in 2021.
The festival also currently has multi-year contracts in Aspen, Colorado, Southampton, New York and Montecito, Calif.
A representative for Palm Tree crew reports that the West Palm Beach edition of Palm Tree Festival hosted 11,000 attendees, making it the largest Palm Tree Festival ever. The event had an 8,200-person waitlist, with tickets reselling for three times their face value on resell platforms. 85% of ticket holders traveled to West Palm Beach for the festival, and more than half of them were between the ages of 24 and 35.
“In a transient life of touring, West Palm Beach has become my home,” Sofi Tukker’s Tucker Halpern tells Billboard. “I can drive my golf cart around and be outside, get my usual coffee order and hang with friends in the neighborhood. Sounds simple, but it feels rare for a touring artist.
“Having Palm Tree Festival in town was the best home game I could have imagined,” he continues. “I had family and friends in this beautiful little bubble get to see what I do around the world when I’m gone all the time. It felt surreal. The way West Palm has been growing is fun to watch and this felt like another big step in it becoming even more popular and solidifying its no longer ‘the town your grandparents live in.’”
Sofi Tukker is managed by Palm Tree Crew co-founder Myles Shear, along with Palm Tree Crew’s Mike Hoerner and Bella Tamis under Animal Talk, a component of the electronic duo’s own Animal Talk brand. Animal Talk Management formed last summer as a partnership with Palm Tree Management.
Along with Palm Tree Festival, Palm Tree Crew encompasses a lifestyle and hospitality brand that includes resorts in Miami and Orlando.
