NIO Sales Soar 76% – CleanTechnica

NIO has been on a hot streak the past few months. November sales didn’t continue the trend of setting a new monthly sales record month after month, but it was NIO’s second highest selling month on record.

With 36,275 NIO vehicles delivered last month, the company had 76.3% growth over November 2024’s total.

Splitting out those deliveries by brand, the NIO brand scored 18,393 deliveries, the family-oriented ONVO brand scored 11,794, and the high-end small electric car brand firefly scored 6,088.

The company is now very close to reaching 1 million cumulative vehicle sales. With 949,457 deliveries to date, it’s most likely the company will reach that milestone in January. Though, a huge December could bring the achievement in 2025 — that’s just a bit unlikely since the company’s record sales month, October, logged just 40,397 deliveries. Splitting out those ~950,000 vehicle sales, the cumulative brand sales are as follows:

• NIO — 797,712
• ONVO — 119,415
• firefly — 32,330

Interestingly, while NIO and XPENG seemed to follow similar growth trends for much of their lives, it recently looked like XPENG was going to run away from NIO. However, their November deliveries were almost identical, and their sales charts in general are looking more similar again.

I have a bit more faith in XPENG’s growth plan and development, but both EV companies have been doing well, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they both reached 1 million sales a year eventually.
