‘Hunting Wives’ Star Malin Åkerman Explains That Viral Wig Her Character Wore on the Show
Malin Åkerman is a straight shooter when it comes to her hair.
The Hunting Wives star is well aware that her wig on the Netflix series has been a topic of discussion, and as she revealed, it even caused some issues behind the scenes.
“I had a wig fitting in L.A.,” Malin explained on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast Aug. 21. “Then they go off and they make a wig that is sized for my head.”
But according to the 47-year-old, when it came time to film her role as a politician’s wife on the show’s North Carolina set, the wig they received fit great, but wasn’t “quite the color or the shape that we had talked about.”
“The poor hair lady’s freaking out,” Malin recalled. “And she’s pulling out her box of wigs, and she’s like, ‘What about this one?’”
And while the wig wasn’t fitted to her head, the color was what they envisioned and the hair was long, so they thought it could work as their plan B.
