Bachelor Nation’s Madison Prewett and Husband Grant Troutt Share Plans to Spank Their Daughter
Madison Prewett and Grant Troutt‘s parenting decision is raising eyebrows.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2022, revealed they plan on one day disciplining their daughter, Hosanna, 6 months, by spanking her. However, that controversial method is one some childhood experts aren’t on board with.
“Please don’t spank your kids,” Big Little Feelings co-founder Kristin Gallant—whose parenting platform counts Blake Lively and Eva Mendes as fans—told E! News weeks before Madison and Grant shared their parenting plan. “There is so much research showing how much damage it causes.”
Madison, 29, and Grant, 29, aren’t the only parents who believe in corporal punishment, as Kristin noted, “A huge amount of people rely on spanking to get better behavior.”
Instead, the parenting coach—whose background in maternal and child education led her to co-found the brand alongside Deena Margolin—recommends modeling respect and leading by example without falling into the trap of “permissive parenting.”
