After President Donald Trump laughed about inviting the women’s team to the White House, Hilary quipped, “it was gonna be just us, but we thought we’d invite the guys, too,” while Megan added, “Yeah, we thought we’d give them a little moment to shine” as she playfully elbowed Quinn.
After Quinn acknowledged the men’s team’s historic win, which occurred for the first time in 46 years, Hilary quipped with a giggle, “And the last time we did that was two whole Olympics ago.”
And Jack gave credit where it was due.
“Nice burn,” Jack said. “But these gold medals aren’t just for us. They’re for all hockey fans,” including Connor’s.
Even so, it’s not likely that he’ll get the honor of trying on any Team USA’s bling. As the athletes put it in unison when he asked, “No.”
