NBA All-Star Weekend is back, and the league is trying out a brand new format. The All-Star Game will pit the U.S. against Team World, with the U.S. players split into two teams. The new format comes as international players are increasingly leading the league, including Nikola Jokić, Luka Dončić, and Victor Wembanyama, all of whom will play for Team World. The game takes place on Feb. 15 and starts at 5 p.m. ET.

U.S. players will be split into Team Stripes and Team Stars. Team Stars includes Devin Booker, Cade Cunningham, and Anthony Edwards, while Team Stripes includes LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Kawhi Leonard. The games will follow a round-robin format, with 12-minute games, and a championship game to determine the winner.

Superstar Bucks power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is out of Team World due to injury, leading to a reshuffling of the teams; De’Aaron Fox was added to Team Stripes, while Norman Powell will move to Team World. Stephen Curry and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander are also out due to injury.

The NBA has tinkered with the format repeatedly in the last decade, including last year’s mini-tournament coached by NBA on TNT commentators, drafts run by player-coaches, and the traditional East-West format. This year’s edition will take place at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, home of the Clippers.

For the first time in nearly a quarter-century, the game will air on NBC after departing its longtime home of TNT. If you’re looking to stream the game live, you can watch it on Peacock. Peacock does not offer a free trial, but live TV streaming services like DirecTV and Hulu + Live TV do.
