T-Mobile is letting members switch from another carrier in 15 minutes or less per line

Picking a phone carrier can seem like a big decision, particularly given how difficult it can be to change your mind once you sign up. T-Mobile is making it easier with a new initiative dubbed “15 Minutes to Better.” Designed to let you switch your carrier to T-Mobile in 15 minutes or less per line, the program was announced during T-Mobile’s activation ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix in late November.
One of T-Mobile’s newest features, the Easy Switch 15 Minutes to Better initiative helps new members find the right plan for them based on their current one. New members can choose to upgrade to a new phone or keep their current device to switch carriers in 15 minutes. If you don’t download the T-Life app, you can also start the switch on T-Mobile’s website.
New Plan, New Phone
In addition to making it easier to switch carriers, T-Mobile is also getting members same-day delivery of a new phone through DoorDash, saving them a trip to the store. New members who aren’t ready to upgrade to a new phone right away can wait up to 90 days after they switch.
New T-Mobile members can also get the latest iPhone without a trade-in, with the new offer available starting on Dec. 4. Smartphone promo deals typically require trading in a phone, but the ability to get the latest iPhone for free — while keeping your old device — makes switching carriers easier.
In addition to the iPhone 17, members can get the iPhone Air without a trade-in by adding a line on the Experience Beyond plan. Android users can also get the Pixel 10 or Galaxy S25+ with a trade-in.
Beyond making it easier to switch carriers, the T-Life app is also where members can take advantage of exclusive perks, ranging from discounts on concert and movie tickets to free streaming services, including Apple TV and Netflix.
