If you didn’t come to the Edinburgh Festival this year, you must make the effort in 2026. It’s known for the its high arts, including ballet and opera. But an awful lot of people come just for the Fringe. This involves quite a lot of comedy (mostly a bit dirty), lots of student drama (some startlingly good, most just awful) and a good round of clowns, acrobats and magicians with a relentless overlay of gender politics. You get the idea.
