The performance and final match, set for July 13 in New York City, will benefit a Global Citizen initiative
Doja Cat, Tems, and J Balvin will perform at the first-ever Club World Cup final this summer. On Monday, FIFA and Global Citizen shared that the trio of stars will play at the final scheduled for July 13 at MetLife Stadium.
The performance, curated by Chris Martin, will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund in its effort to raise $100 million to improve access to education worldwide.
“We’re going to bring the world together for a beautiful moment — to celebrate football, feel the unity that music brings, and improve the lives of millions of children through the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund,” Tems said in a press release. “I can’t wait.”
The FIFA Club World Cup is set to kick off on June 13 and will see 32 teams from across the world compete for the title across 12 venues in 11 cities across America.
LAFC, Seattle Sounders, and Inter Miami CF will represent the United States in the tournament, which will also feature teams such as Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, and River Plate. Manchester City won the Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia in 2023.
“For the first-ever halftime show in a FIFA competition, we’re proud to partner with Global Citizen to bring together a global superstar lineup,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino said in a statement. “Together, we are going to make history on a special occasion where football and music unite the world … This show will be unforgettable — not just for its spectacle on a landmark night, but also for the lasting impact it will make.”
Along with the Club World Cup, Chris Martin will also curate the 2026 FIFA World Cup halftime show alongside Coldplay manager Phil Harvey. The World Cup final will take place on July 19, 2026, at MetLife Stadium.
