Dogfish Head continues its “long strange trip” with the Grateful Dead this holiday season. The craft brewery known for its unique beers furthered its off-centered innovation with the launch of Grateful Dead Juicy Pale Ale earlier this year. Now the brewery and the band are dropping a line of co-branded merch ranging from t-shirts to hats to can coolers and more.
Perfect for Dead Heads and beer lovers alike, the Dogfish Head x Grateful Dead merch drop features the Dead’s iconic Stealie logo, with the brewery’s logo in the middle. Both the brewery and the band are celebrating landmark birthdays this year, with Dogfish Head toasting to 30 years in business and the Dead marking its 60th anniversary.
Just in time for the gift-giving season, Dogfish Head and Grateful Dead are back with a new Record Store Day vinyl release, “On A Back Porch Vol. 2,” which will be available at independent record stores nationwide on Black Friday. Dogfish Head’s brewer and founder Sam Calagione teamed up with David Lemieux, the Grateful Dead’s historian, on a collection of songs that’s “perfect for drinking beer on the porch,” according to the brand.

Also dropping on Black Friday is a new collaborative bucket hat and sweatshirt, and there’s a limited number of hand-made ceramic growlers designed around the Grateful Dead’s iconic “Steal Your Face” logo. All the pieces are available on Dogfish Head’s online store. Crafted by Delaware’s Romanick Pottery, each one-of-a-kind growler is numbered, making it a true collector’s item.
