Dakota Johnson is not going to throw away her first big acting gig.
After Aaron Sorokin confirmed he will make a part two of The Social Network based off of Wall Street Journal’s Facebook Files investigation, Dakota reflected on where her character—Amelia, a one night stand of Justin Timberlake’s Sean Parker—would be now, and whether she’d consider returning for the sequel.
“She’s dead,” Dakota joked to E! News’ Will Marfuggi at the premiere of Splitsville in New York Aug. 19. “She probably died.”
And even though Jesse Eisenberg, who portrayed Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in the 2010 film, passed on the opportunity to return to the character, Dakota isn’t ruling out a resurrection for hers. As she added of the prospect, “Sure why not? Love a cameo.”
While the upcoming sequel is still in very early stages of production, fans of Dakota can see her much sooner in Splitsville, which Dakota described as a “very unromantic comedy,” hits theaters Aug. 22. (For more with Dakota, watch E! News tonight at 11 p.m.)
