Channel 4 Acquires ‘The Copenhagen Test’ for U.K.

Simu Liu espionage thriller “The Copenhagen Test” is heading to Channel 4 in the U.K.

It will launch April 8.

The eight-episode series, produced by UCP, debuted on Peacock in the States last December.

The show, which was created by Thomas Brandon (“Legacies”) stars Liu as intelligence analyst Alexander Hale, whose brain has been hacked.

“Caught between his shadowy agency and the unknown hackers, he must maintain a performance 24/7 to flush out who’s responsible and prove where his allegiance lies,” reads the logline.

Brandon serves as executive producer, writer and co-showrunner. Jennifer Yale (“Outlander”) is co-showrunner, writer and executive producer.

Channel 4’s head of acquisitions Polly Scates acquired the show after striking a deal with NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution, who are handling global sales for the series.

“We are excited to bring this high-stakes espionage thriller to our viewers and to continue bringing great international drama to Channel 4,” said Scates. “’The Copenhagen Test’ combines a stellar cast with a sharp, twisty premise that will grip audiences from the start.”

UCP is a division of Universal Studio Group.
