The best is yet to come for Kesha.
Following a moving performance of her hit song “Praying,” during the NYC stop of her “T-ts Out Tour,” the singer received a three-minute standing ovation—which didn’t come without some tears. In fact, she paused to take in the heartwarming moment and give a shoutout to her friend Cassie Ventura.
As seen in a clip shared to social media, Kesha used the touching moment to express her gratitude and acknowledge “survivors.”
“Earlier tonight, Cassie sent me flowers backstage,” Kesha told the crowd. “I just want you to know that all of this love is not only for me, it’s for anyone who survived anything that they shouldn’t have had to survive.”
Kesha—who celebrated the release of her first independently owned album at the concert—also shared a photo of the flowers on X. “Thank u Cassie,” she wrote. “Love you sweet girl. my good luck angel for MSG.”
