Battlefield 6 Sales Boost Electronic Arts’ Quarterly Earnings

Electronic Arts had a notably good October-December quarter thanks to the hugely popular “Battlefield 6.”

According to EA’s latest earnings results, released Tuesday, preliminary sales figures for the quarter reach $3 billion, a year-over-year increase of 38%. EA says the majority of those net bookings were powered by “Battlefield 6” sales, which set new franchise engagement records as the video game industry’s best-selling shooter title of 2025.

Aside from “Battlefield’s” results, EA says that “Apex Legends” and “EA Sports FC” both saw growth during the three-month period. “EA Sports FC” net bookings “increased high single digits year-over-year in Q3, excluding the benefit of deluxe edition content timing, driven by strength in Ultimate Team and FC Mobile,” and “Apex Legends” posted net bookings “up double-digits year-over-year driven by innovative new features and events.”

Overall, EA’s revenue for the quarter stood at $1.9 billion. Net cash was $1.83 billion.

EA is not hosting a conference call with executives this quarter, a practice traditionally used as a chance for analysts to ask additional questions about the state of the business, ahead of its pending $55 billion go-private deal.

In a letter released with the financial results, EA said that the deal, which will see Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), Silver Lake and Jared Kushner’s Affinity Partners take the publicly held company private, is still on track to close between April and June.

Variety recently spoke with EA strategy chief Mihir Vaidya about the pending transaction and EA’s new partnership with James Cameron-backed tech company Stability AI.
